Sandhu Eye Hospital - Nawanshahr

Sandhu Eye Hospital is a symbol of quality eye care in Punjab for more than past 3 decades. This hospital is situated in the city of Nawanshahr, a small business town in Doaba region of Punjab. The hospital is being run by a family which is the third generation of ophthalmologists. Originally from Azad Chowk Banga, the first generation of doctors in the family were Dr. Gurbax S Sandhu and Dr. Bhagat S. Sandhu, who started their medical practise at Banga in the year 1935. Four sons of Dr. Bhagat Singh went on ahead to become specialist doctors and served both in the private and government sector. The 4th son Dr. Devinder Paul S. Sandhu was an accomplished Eye Surgeon and worked at various places in Doaba during his tenure with Punjab Civil Medical Services (PCMS). From where he retired as Director Health Services (DHS) Punjab
