FARM SHIKSHA was founded by an enthusiastic entrepreneur with the support of his agriculturally-inclined family, after leaving a high-paying job. They aim to create a modern knowledge bank of organic farming practices, from cultivating fruits and vegetables to serving the customers with quality food without using fertilizers and pesticides. Located 50 km away from Chennai, Farm Shiksha can be reached in an hour and a half by road.

As you enter the premises, you will be greeted by the sound of ducks playing with fish and the friendly sight of indigenous cows waiting to be fed. You can easily bond with the calves and enjoy the fresh coconut water while taking in the fragrant scent of the cattle shed. It will make you appreciate the same experiences your ancestors had for a very long time.

At Farm Shiksha, students will have a broad view of the garden, including mango, sapota, coconut, amla and drumstick trees, each equipped with a drip irrigation system, sprinklers, shade net and a vermi compost unit. They will be able to walk through the paddy fields and witness the various processes involved in growing the rice they consume on a daily basis.
