Vedanta Aluminium & Power Business is India’s largest green metal producer, the second most important metal in the world. Backed by rich deposits of high-quality bauxite, India has the second largest aluminium production capacity in the world after China. We produce more than half of India’s aluminium at 1.9 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) in FY20. We command more than 40% market share in India and our value-added products are world leaders in their respective segments. This business is also amongst the largest private power producers in India with a capacity of over 5300 MW.
