Machine room-less (MRL) elevators do not have a fixed machine room on top of the hoist way, hence the traction hoisting machine is installed mostly on the top sidewall of the hoist way or the bottom side of the hoist way. MRL elevator manufacturers in Ahmedabad install the motor using a permanent magnet which sticks the motor permanently and then works with the variable voltage frequency(VVVF) drive.
