FSSAI license is indispensable for food business operator (FBOs) in India. It has to be obtained by manufacturers, storage units, transporters, distributors, retailers, petty hawkers etc. Those eligible as per requirement of FSSA Act, 2006 are required to obtain the Food license from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India before commencing their food business.
