Chopta Trek

The trekking from Chopta to Tungnath is a slow but sure climb. As you start you trek and get used to the weather situation, you can easily reach to the temple in couple of hours. The walk is easy and pleasant, the early half of the track passing through a mixed and dense forest of rhododendrons, conifers, lichens and ferns. As you move toward, the dense forest recedes to give way to meadows same as you left behind at Chopta. The both sides of way are flanked by gift of nature in form of green slopes, beautiful wild flowers etc. Before you reach your desired destination, you will find a beautiful small Ganesha Temple which is situated on a stony spur. The area is mostly attractive after the rainy days. However, before reaching the holy temple you will exceed through different eating places. Finally after couple of hours you reach your destination.
