Position Summary:
The Senior Researcher is responsible for the researching and collation of credible data from verified sources. Predominantly, this data and information will enable the Marketing team to generate insightful, value-added market intelligence material for our world-leading clients, as well as the wider marketplace. This market intelligence will relate to geographies, economies, trends, construction markets and multiple industry sectors. The Senior Researcher is responsible for distilling the data and information gathered into an easy-to-review, digestible format, that can be quickly analysed under key headings and utilised for the generation of the above mentioned content. The Senior Researcher will also be responsible for providing short-form quarterly updates on key sectors across our three regions - data centres, property, infrastructure, transportation, life sciences, high-tech industrial and commercial development/fit-out (market indicators, trends, key projects). Lastly, the Senior Researcher will be heavily involved in the gathering of content for Insights, our annual publication across multiple countries, that brings together key macroeconomic and construction indicators to provide a brief overview of the market landscape.
This role requires the ability to identify, monitor and understand economic and market trends, and summarise these in the provision of research to the Marketing team. This role involves collaborating with the Marketing team and wider business in scoping and defining the research requirements, providing timely material in a suitable format, and working with the Graphics team on the output format/presentation.
The successful candidate will have a remit to maintain and grow client's approved source list for multiple countries and sectors in an easy-to-use format, making this available to the Marketing team and supporting the team in its use.Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Work closely with the Marketing team, under the direction of the CMO and Digital and Content Manager, to gather useful data on key markets, geographies and sectors in an easy-to-digest format
* Independently undertake research across defined geographies and sectors, leveraging advanced research techniques to gather high-quality data and information, and ensure we are utilising credible sources as a business
* Take a leading role in the production of high-quality research reports and market intelligence publications as required by the Marketing function and the wider business
* Maintain and continually develop the approved source list, across a range of geographies and sectors, for key indicators
* Work with the Marketing team to identify the optimal ways of visualising and presenting data/information
* Work closely with the Digital and Content team on Insights (Knowledge Center), to ensure it continues to evolve as a useful, valuable resource for the market, with improved trend analysis, forecasts etc.
* Conduct competitive analysis - produce bi-annual reviews of key competitors across our three regions
* Explore systems, platforms, processes and techniques that will benefit, evolve and improve the research function
* Identify reports/publications of interest to the Marketing team and wider team, for purchase upon approval
* Recommend innovative techniques or research processes that the Marketing team can leverage as part of our market research function

The Successful Applicant

5-10 years of experience in Property, Infrastructure, Transportation and Industrial market.

Strong experience in Primary & Secondary research in any of the mentioned domains.

Strong writing skills is mandatory. This is not an analytic role.

BE/BTech Civil Engineering or B Arch will be preferred.
