BIFMA ( Business and Institutional Furniture manufacturers Association )
Founded in 1973 in North America , BIFMA is the Association of Furniture Manufacturers for business & institutions . The purpose was to safeguard the interests of Furniture manufacturers and also lay down certain basic norms for the quality of raw materials being used in Furniture making .
Initially the association had North American Furniture Manufacturers as its members but later on with acceptance of BIFMA Standard by other countries outside USA. The membership is now International also in India , most of the major Corporate Furniture manufacturers are the members of BIFMA .
BIFMA Membership & also compliance certification to Standard has been so well appreciated & accepted by the Consumers around the globe. The Government deaprtments in their Tender conditions , make it obligatory to have either membership of BIFMA or Compliance certification.
